What Mothers Want

After conducting 100 1-on-1 interviews and thousands of surveys with mothers, we have pinpointed he most challenging stages of motherhood as identified by the women currently in the throes of each stage.

The goal of the What Mothers Want research initiative is to provide best practices and interventions to support mothers.  By providing resources for mothers to achieve their goals, we can ensure their children also achieve better outcomes.

Mothers told us the most challenging aspects of motherhood include:

  • Giving birth to first child
  • Adding additional children to family unit
  • Finding purpose beyond motherhood
  • Dedicating time for self care
  • Re-entering the workforce
  • Balancing career and family
  • Managing the teenage years
  • Dealing with an empty nest

Are you a mother with children under the age of 18 who would like to participate in a paid research study?
